BP garage on Sutton high-street in Surrey where I near brimmed the tank for fifty quid and set off 240 miles home.
Cannock services, north of Birmingham. Didn't want to chance stopping too far south and have the car refuse to start up again, so I pressed on to within recoverable distance. It started instantly, but you don't know with old cars. It was running slightly hotter than norm going uphill and slightly lower than norm under easier cruising. Maybe the thermostat is starting to play up, or maybe it's just an old engine with no electric fan.
